How Pure Is Distilled Water? Can It Be Too Pure?

pathogens. Water distillers are among the most popular ways of purifying liquid from
the tap and so it's only natural to wonder about the quality of distilled water.
Water distillation entails boiling water in a chamber until the H2O vaporizes. The
steam is then collected and guided through a set of tubes where it is left to cool
down until it condenses and returns to its liquid form. The distillate then drips into a
separate storage tank.
When it comes to the question of how pure is distilled water, it is actually very pure.
It is very effective in removing salts, nitrates, and chloride from the water. It is also
valuable in killing pathogens as the water is left to boil.
There's no question that distilled water is truly pure but is it too pristine for your
health?
Aside from removing the contaminants mentioned above, water distillation also
removes the minerals in water, including minerals needed by the body, like calcium
and magnesium. These minerals, when removed from the water, do not only cause a
flat taste but also cause the pH of the water to become acidic.
Acidic water strips the bones, teeth, and organs of important minerals in an effort to
neutralize the acid. This in turn can lead to deterioration of the body and can cause
serious problems with different organs of the body including the heart, liver, and
kidneys.
An acidic pH can also lead to diabetes as it causes the body to produce excessive
amounts of insulin. It can also affect metabolism of lipids and fatty acids, damage the
arteries and veins, and cause premature aging.
So how pure is distilled water? Perhaps a little too "pure" for good health. Instead of
distillation, a better and healthier alternative is filtered water. A water filtering system,
specifically a system that uses selective filtration, is effective in removing a wide
variety of contaminants including chemicals, drugs, metals, and pathogens without
removing the healthy minerals. The resulting water is clean, pure, safe, delicious, and
healthy for your body.

Have you ever asked yourself this
question: how pure is distilled water?
The use of a pure water distiller is one
of the common ways to produce
clean water, but how pure is distilled
water, really, and how ideal is its use
for your home?
Tap H2O has a lot of contaminants
lurking in it. Many studies have
proven this and the fact is that plain
tap water is not ideal for use
anymore due to the risks and health
threats of the impurities found in it. In
tap you'll find things like chemicals,
heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, and
