Exercise
Exercise can reduce weight, improve circulation, releases happy hormones and helps
us sleep better. Exercise is also a great way tool for stress relief. Fat also produces
estrogen even when we have enough already being produced naturally.
Drink Water
Many people believe that by drinking more water they will retain more water. The
fact is, the more water we drink the less water we retain. Getting the recommended
amount of water daily will reduce bloating and swelling. It helps keep your bowels
moving as well when progesterone slows them down. A great way to find out how
much water your body needs is to take your weight in pounds and divide it by two.
This is how many ounces of water you need daily. If you want to know how many
glasses that is just divide the ounces by eight.
Cut Down on Salt
Salt cause water retention and it is one of the many symptoms that bother women.
Bloating in the stomach is uncomfortable and when pants don't fit right it does not
help us feel any better.
Increase Calcium Intake and Vitamin D
Although it is not fully understood why calcium actually does help PMS, studies have
shown it to be a help in many cases. Vitamin D helps increases the absorption of
calcium. In one study, women who took Vitamin D and calcium had 40 percent less
risk of developing PMS.
