Recipe


The Glowing Green Smoothie was designed as a breakfast replacement.  You can
add nuts and/or seeds, but keep in mind that the nutrients from the fruits and
vegetables won't be absorbed as quickly since the addition of fat increases
digestion/absoption time.        


Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups water
1 Head Romaine Lettuce (chopped)
1/2 Head Large Bunch of Spinach (or 3/4 of a small bunch)
1/3 Bunch Cilantro (optional and stems okay)
1/3 Bunch Parsley (optional and stems okay)
3-4 Celery Stalks
1 Apple (cored and chopped)
1 Pear (cored and chopped)
1 Banana
Juice of 1/2 Fresh Lemon



Directions:

Put water and chopped lettuce into blender and blend at low speed until smooth.  Add
celery, apple, and pear and blend at high speed until smooth.  Add cilantro and
parsley and continue to blend until smooth.  Add banana and lemon juice and further
blend until smooth.  For best results, drink immediately (soon after it's made).  Cup
