be good for hydration. Generally speaking these take out more water than they put
into the body. If you do drink these, you will literally have to drink water as well just
to make up for them to get back to where you originally were.
Food is a huge source of water. Fresh fruits and vegetables especially contain quite a
bit of water. While you aren't drinking the water it is inside the food. If it's fresh and
raw more water will be in it than if you cook or steam them as this causes some of
the water to leave. If you don't like raw fruits and vegetables consider soups that are
high in water content that will help. Alternatively look at blending or juicing these
which will get all the water content in them with quite a bit of the nutrients as well.
Another strategy is to drink drinks that are especially made for hydration. Sports
drinks very low in calories with sodium in them and electrolytes are good for this
especially after something like the flu where the body is lacking water. Just be careful
to not drink too many calories and cause weight gain as a side effect.
Hydration is important but some do not like drinking plain water. There are some
other techniques like sports drinks and foods that will help increase hydration. Avoid
caffeine, sugars, and alcohol will help keep the water you already have.
