What is the Benefit of Eating a Raw Food Diet?

non-pasteurized dairy products.
Starting the diet takes some transitioning. There are primarily three types of raw
foodists: vegetarians, raw omnivores, and those who choose to eat 100% raw
animal foods. In terms of cancer treatment, a raw vegan diet is most preferable.
In this type of diet foods are never heated above 115°F. It is believed that once
these foods are cooked above 115°F not only have they lost their nutritional value,
but may even be harmful. The short list of raw foods most commonly eaten are
fruits, vegetables, sprouts, nuts, legumes, honey, and seeds.
Raw food recipes are usually easy to prepare because all the ingredients can be
placed in a blender or juicer and served as a smoothie or salad dressing. Recipes that
call for grains or nuts may be a little bit more involved simply because they involve
soaking the grains or nuts overnight.
The goal of the diet is that all foods should be fresh since freezing can also have
harmful effects, although not as drastic as cooking. In terms of cancer treatment a
raw food diet for cancer is viewed as very beneficial because of the increased
nutrients and lower fat associated with the diet.
A raw food diet for cancer allows the body more access to nutrients as well as
introducing bacteria and other microorganisms which many believe are beneficial to
the digestive track flora. Additionally, the diet contains no preservatives, additives,
artificial colors, or artificial flavors.
Raw foodists also believe that wild foods are more beneficial and nutritious than
those grown on industrial farms. In terms of cancer patients, the raw food diet is
believed to be beneficial because of the high level of antioxidants which are known to
fight free radicals that promote cancer. A raw food diet is also sometimes referred to
as a living foods diet.

A raw food diet, also known as raw
foodism, promotes a healthier
lifestyle by using organic,
unprocessed, uncooked foods for
most if not all of your diet. The
concept is based on the idea that the
more raw food in your diet the more
nutrients and therefore the more
health benefits.
Normally in this diet, only uncooked
plant foods are eaten, which makes
this primarily a vegetarian diet. The
most common are the vegetables,
